| DEFINITIVE BREAKPOINTS2013-07-24 |
DEFINITIVE BREAKPOINTS This site lists breakpoints only for antibiotic/organism combinations tested in the BSAC Resistance Surveillance Project; they were extracted from BSAC and EUCAST sources in Jul 2013. Recommendations may have changed since then. Please visit the BSAC or EUCAST websites for the most recent complete annotated tables.
| WHICH BREAKPOINTS?2013-07-24 |
WHICH BREAKPOINTS? The breakpoints used to classify isolates as susceptible/intermediate/resistant on this website are the version 12 BSAC breakpoints (May 2013), with a correction for Streptococci-oxa (S<=2). In a few cases, where BSAC breakpoints have not been set, EUCAST v 3.1 breakpoints (Feb 2013) are used (for S. pneumoniae with dor, min and tec; alpha-haemolytic streptococci with amp, cxm, dor, etp, ipm and mem; beta-haemolytic streptococci with lvx, min, mxf, rif, tec and van; enterococci with ipm; Acinetobacter with lvx; H. influenzae with min; and M. catarrhalis with azm, ctx and min). More recent breakpoints may exist.
| CHANGING BREAKPOINTS2006-06-29 | CHANGING BREAKPOINTS We aim to use current breakpoints on this website. As a result, the percentages of isolates shown as susceptible/intermediate/resistant may differ from those published in previous papers or calculated on the website at an earlier date with earlier breakpoints. | Click here |
